Your streaming area is an important part of your show, so spend some time preparing it before you start your stream.
Prepare a Comfy Streaming Area
The more comfortable you are, the easier it will be to keep your stream going. Add cushions or pillows, and make sure the temperature isn’t too hot or too cold. Don’t forget your supplies, like toys, costumes, cleaning items, and of course snacks and drinks. Plan ahead and give yourself the most comfortable work space you can!
Decorate to Set a Mood
An attractive streaming area can help draw in viewers. Make sure you keep the area clean, and keep supplies or messes outside of the frame. Put some thought into decorations that will help show off your personality. Do you want high-class elegance, or whips and chains? Set a tone for your room with a streaming area that looks great.
Play Music
Music is another great way to set a mood and show off your personality during your stream. It can also help mask background noise like traffic, but don’t play it too loud or viewers won’t be able to hear your voice.
If you plan to record video to upload to your media library, please note that uploaded media can’t contain copyrighted music. To avoid this issue, you can play approved music from the I-CAMZ music library. Read the Recording Video Clips help page for more details.
Set Up Your Streaming Equipment
You’ll need a camera and a computer that can connect to the internet (wired connections will be more stable than streaming over wifi). Set these up in the room you’ll be streaming in, and put your streaming area in the center of the frame! Spend some time making sure your camera looks good and the mic is picking up your voice.
Check Your Lighting
Good lighting is important, and not just so viewers can see you. Many cameras don’t work well in low light, causing grainy images. Flattering lighting can also make your stream pop out! Use the tips on this Lighting Guide page to make sure you look your best.
Review Your Profile
Make sure it’s easy for members to find you! On your account dashboard, find the section with all your public profile options. Click through each link to make sure your show descriptions, personal details, categories, and all other options are set up just the way you want.
Set Your Payment Rates
On your account dashboard, find the “Rates and Shows” section to set the per-minute rates you want to offer for Private and Exclusive shows. Not sure where to start? Read the Price per Minute help page for tips on choosing your first prices. Over time, you’ll get more rate options and learn what works best for you.
You may see additional options to offer discounted Block Sessions or to set up a range for Dynamic Rates. These options are not available to all creators, but you can click those links to read more.
